Information

At GanoHerb’s organic Reishi farm in Jiumu Town, Pucheng County, Nanping, clusters of Reishi mushrooms, resembling the traditional Chinese symbol of good fortune, Ruyi, are approaching their harvest season. When the round paper covers are lifted, each Reishi mushroom is found to be coated with a thick layer of spore powder. This Eastern medicinal herb is in demand across more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. Every summer and autumn, numerous pharmaceutical companies, experts, and members visit the farm, drawn by its renowned reputation.

On August 25, 20 senior agricultural officials from Mozambique enthusiastically visited this Reishi sanctuary, recognized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization as a "Demonstration Base for Edible and Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation and Processing Technology." They engaged in a series of visits, learning and exchange activities. Throughout the visit, they were accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as provincial, municipal, and county agricultural departments, GanoHerb Group’s founder and chairman, Li Ye, and the general manager of GanoHerb Technology, Zhang Qiaoxia.

Members of the Mozambican Senior Agricultural Officials Exchange and Training Program visited GanoHerb’s Reishi farm.

At GanoHerb’s organic Reishi cultivation base, Group Chairman Li Ye provided the trainees with a detailed introduction to the cultivation of high-quality organic Reishi. The trainees gained in-depth knowledge about the selection and breeding of new Reishi varieties, organic management practices, as well as the yield and economic benefits of the cultivation process.

The delegation gained an in-depth understanding of GanoHerb’s Reishi cultivation practices.

Following this, the Mozambican senior agricultural officials also visited GanoHerb Technology’s Academic Exchange Center and Product Exhibition Center. During a sharing session, Wu Shaofeng, a researcher in edible mushroom promotion and Director of the GanoHerb Technology Base Department, provided a brief overview of the current status of high-quality mushroom development in Fujian Province. The trainees showed great interest in the cultivation techniques for Reishi and other edible mushrooms, leading to lively on-site discussions and exchanges.

The delegation visited the GanoHerb Technology Academic Exchange Center.

"We, in collaboration with the Institute of Medicinal Plant Development at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, undertook the first national key R&D project focusing on the modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), specifically the Reishi research subject. Through this collaborative project, we have developed a new Reishi strain, GanoHerb S3, using space breeding technology. Additionally, we have enhanced the economic benefits of Reishi by incorporating ecological protection, organic cultivation, and industrial-scale cultivation. This effort promotes the revitalization of the industry, the effective development of rural specialty industries, and the high-quality advancement of edible mushroom industries, including Reishi."

Wu Shaofeng, Director of the GanoHerb Technology Base, gave an on-site presentation.

After listening to Director Wu Shaofeng’s introduction, one participant couldn’t help but exclaim, “Engaging in extensive exchanges with GanoHerb’s technical staff and learning about the organic Reishi cultivation techniques in Fujian, China, I have gained a great deal. These techniques are highly beneficial for the development of edible mushrooms in our country.”

This exchange event was a cross-border experience-sharing initiative that effectively conveyed GanoHerb’s expertise in organic Reishi cultivation, ecological protection, and innovative models to international friends. It contributed GanoHerb's strength to supporting the Belt and Road Initiative and advancing agricultural cooperation between China and Mozambique.
