Since 2018, the annual Autumn Equinox has been set as the "Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival". On September 16, the "Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival" in Fujian Province in 2019 was held at Youxi, the hometown of Zhu Zi.

The 2019 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival in Fujian area with the theme of "Celebration of Harvest in Fujian and Respectful Praise of New China" is organized by Fujian Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Sanming municipal government and Fujian Media Group. On the day of the event, nearly 1,000 people including Li Dejin, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, Huang Huakang, Director of Fujian Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Yu Hongsheng, Mayor of Sanming city, Zeng Xianghui, Chairman of Fujian Media Group, representatives of relevant provincial units, workers of bureaus of agriculture and rural affairs of each city or district in Fujian, farmer representatives and media reporters attended the launching ceremony of this festival.

This harvest festival consists of three parts: the launching ceremony, the stage performance and the on-site agricultural special product exhibition. The scenes mixed with the fragrance of the fruits and the golden rice waves are the most desirable days for the peasants in the whole year. In Fujian, a province boasting of beautiful mountains and rivers, "lucky teas, lucky fruits, lucky vegetables, lucky fungi and lucky rice" appeared.
