According to the size, it can be divided into three categories: micro nodules <5 mm; small nodules 5-10 mm; pulmonary nodules 10-30 mm.

 

Solution: take 8mm as the dividing point.

For "solid nodules", if<8mm, follow-up once every 3-6 months; if>8mm, minimally invasive surgery is required.

 

For "pure ground glass nodules", if≤5mm, follow-up once every 6 months; if 6-8mm, follow-up once every 3-6 months; if>8mm, minimally invasive surgery is required.

 

When >10mm, checks can be done to eliminate doubts. Noninvasive: PET-CT; Invasive: ①Lung puncture; ②Minimally invasive surgery.

 

 

The procession from nodules to cancer is very slow, sometimes taking 8 or 10 years, Therefore, for small nodules<8mm, Director Tu emphasized, "Don't take medicine. Don't get injections. Don't have surgery. Don't be anxious! Just check regularly ." 

 

How does lung cancer arise? First, genetic mutations are the culprit.
