On November 21, the "Training Program for Developing Countries on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development—Poverty Reduction Focus," organized by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), Ministry of Commerce, included a visit to GanoHerb. The program was attended by a delegation of 32 government officials from 10 developing countries, including Nepal, Grenada, Tanzania, and Nigeria. The participants gained a deep understanding of how GanoHerb leverages the Science and Technology Commissioner (STC) System to improve Reishi mushroom yield and quality, while driving poverty reduction among local farmers.

Li Chuan, a veteran provincial-level official and firsthand practitioner of the Science and Technology Commissioner (STC) system, visited the event to meet with the participants and deliver an exchange speech.

Under the guidance of Dr. Wu, a R&D engineer at GanoHerb, the delegation toured Professor Lin Zhibin's Reishi Academic Achievement Hall. Through the exhibition of precious books, materials, manuscripts, and cultural artifacts, the group gained an in-depth understanding of the positive effects of Reishi mushrooms on human health and the fascinating and enchanting aspects of Chinese Reishi culture. Later, the delegation visited the Reishi Cultural Exhibition Hall at GanoHerb, where they learned about the company’s development history, Reishi cultivation and processing, as well as international sales, and discovered how the company uses the Reishi industry to support local poverty alleviation efforts.

During an afternoon seminar, Geng Yu, a researcher from the Fujian Academy of Social Sciences; Weng Boqi, former vice president of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences; and Li Ye, Chairman of GanoHerb, each presented reports on the STC system, STC-based poverty alleviation practices, and GanoHerb’s case studies. Their presentations provided vivid examples of how the STC system has played a pivotal role in China’s poverty reduction efforts, earning enthusiastic applause from representatives of the visiting countries.

Geng Yu, Researcher at the Fujian Academy of Social Sciences, gave a presentation.

Weng Boqi, Former Vice President of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, delivered a report.

Li Ye, Chairman of GanoHerb and Representative of the Science and Technology Commissioner System, shared GanoHerb’s poverty alleviation practices.

As a practitioner and beneficiary of the STC system, Chairman Li Ye shared his experiences. GanoHerb has developed an industry mutual-support model combining "leading enterprise-driven + sci-tech support + village-enterprise cooperation + farmer-enterprise cooperation." The company facilitates land transfer from impoverished households, prioritizes employment training for these households, and arranges labor in the company’s bases. In recent years, GanoHerb has assisted 5,100 peasant households, increasing their average annual income by 15,000 RMB. The company has helped over 1,000 impoverished households escape poverty and contributed to the fiscal growth of more than 10 local townships. These efforts have supported the national poverty alleviation campaign and rural revitalization, earning Chairman Li Ye the titles of "National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation" and "Fujian Provincial Most Outstanding Sci-Tech Commissioner."

At the same time, GanoHerb is also a recognized demonstration base for the cultivation and processing of edible and medicinal fungi, accredited by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The company has trained hundreds of professionals in edible and medicinal fungi cultivation and management worldwide, contributing to the development of related industries in developing countries, and has been awarded the United Nations South-South Cooperation Special Contribution Award.

At the seminar, in response to questions raised by the participants regarding government support in business development, product research and development, market sales, and other topics, Chairman Li Ye shared detailed insights from his experience, earning the recognition and appreciation of the attendees.

Representatives from developing countries actively learned about poverty reduction experiences and shared their insights.

The successful hosting of this exchange and inspection event fully demonstrated GanoHerb’s social influence and corporate responsibility, while injecting new momentum into poverty reduction projects in developing countries. In the future, GanoHerb will continue to uphold the principles of "openness and cooperation," strengthening communication and collaboration with the international community to jointly promote local poverty alleviation and global economic development.

The participants of the training program took a group photo as a memento.
