Million Views! 5th Annual Public Health Campaign Launch!

In anticipation of the arrival of the 30th National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week, the fifth "Building Together, Sharing Health for All" public welfare event, hosted by GanoHerb, was launched in Fuzhou on March 30th. The event brought together 300 participants including experts in oncology, traditional Chinese medicine scholars, representatives from traditional Chinese medicine enterprises, and cancer fighters. Additionally, over 1.2 million people participated online to observe the conference.

Currently, malignant tumors have become one of the primary threats to public health. According to the latest statistics released by the National Cancer Center, there are approximately 4.06 million new cancer cases annually in China, resulting in approximately 2.41 million cancer-related deaths each year. Each individual bears the primary responsibility for their own health, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of cancer, as well as implementing cancer prevention and control measures throughout all stages, has become an essential task for everyone.

 

Lin Xueli, member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Association for Science and Technology, stated in his address at the launch ceremony that the Cancer Prevention and Control Propaganda Week is a nationwide large-scale science popularization and public welfare activity. This event disseminates scientific knowledge of cancer prevention and control to the public through multiple dimensions, comprehensively enhancing the scientific concept of cancer prevention and control among the general population. He also expressed the intention to continue uniting with social forces like GanoHerb to jointly enhance the demonstration of health science popularization and continuously promote the development of health science popularization in Fujian province, ultimately improving the overall health and well-being of the population.

For example, it effectively addresses and alleviates severe adverse reactions following chemotherapy and radiotherapy, strengthens weakened immunity, prevents tumor metastasis and recurrence, and combats multidrug resistance.

In response to the current topic of interest, "How can traditional Chinese medicine assist in cancer prevention, treatment and rehabilitation," Dr. Fang Wenzhen, Deputy Chief Physician of Fujian Provincial People's Hospital and a member of the Tumor Comprehensive Evaluation Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, also provided expert insights on-site. According to her perspective, the key to traditional Chinese medicine's role in anti-cancer lies in "supporting right and banking up the root." Traditional Chinese medicine, represented by Reishi, is an important tool for "treating disease before it arises," allowing for the adoption of different treatment plans for various stages of cancer. This encompasses the entire process of cancer prevention and treatment, from preventing tumor occurrence and alleviating the toxic side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to prolonging survival, improving symptoms in late-stage patients, and enhancing quality of life.
