On May 7, 2025, the "Seminar on Challenges and Countermeasures for the Development of the Reishi Industry," hosted by the Reishi Professional Committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and undertaken by Fujian Xianzhilou Biological Science and Technology Co., Ltd., was grandly held at the headquarters of GanoHerb Group in Fuzhou.

Ltd., Pan Xinhua, Chairman of Jiangxi Xiankelai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Xu Weimin, Chairman of Guangdong Healthwise Health Food Co., Ltd., and Ye Songmei, Chairman of Zhejiang Shuangyi Mushroom Industry Co., Ltd., to pool wisdom for the high-quality development of the industry.

The meeting was presided over by Professor Yang Baoxue, Director of the Reishi Professional Committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The seminar focused on the "Challenges and Countermeasures for the Development of the Reishi Industry," engaging in in-depth discussions around the four core challenges facing the Reishi industry: "Cultivation and Production," "Scientific Research and Standardization," "Market and Industrial Chain," and "Future Breakthrough Directions," collectively seeking ways to overcome difficulties.

During the meeting, addressing the quality issues currently faced by the industry, experts including Chen Min, Director of the Professional Committee on Evaluation and Utilization of Medicine and Food Homology substances of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhuang Hong, Deputy Director of the Member and Branch Service Department of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, proposed the need to optimize Reishi cultivation models, increase the content of active ingredients, establish a germplasm resource bank, and improve product quality from the germplasm resource.

Regarding the challenges in Reishi scientific research and standardization, such as unclear active ingredients and lagging standardization and regulations, experts and scholars including Researcher Liu Xiaolong from Jilin Agricultural University, Researcher Chen Ruoyun from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and Professor Xu Jianhua from Fujian Medical University called for the establishment of an academic framework centered on pharmacological mechanisms and clinical evidence, while also establishing unified industry standards to ensure product quality and safety.

Addressing the current market challenges such as counterfeit products mixed with genuine ones, weak deep processing technology, and fierce international market competition, Li Ye, Chairman of GanoHerb Group, proposed establishing a brand trust and traceability system and shared his experience in the comprehensive layout of the Reishi industrial chain, providing a valuable example for the industry to learn from.

Regarding future breakthrough directions, several speakers proposed adhering to the synergistic advancement of precision agriculture, technological breakthroughs, and product development to promote the high-quality development of the Reishi industry.

The hall houses Professor Lin's valuable collection of books, materials, manuscripts, cultural relics, interview records, honors, and awards accumulated over the years, serving as an important window for the exchange and dissemination of Chinese Reishi culture.

At the same time, Professor Lin Zhibin also personally presented signed copies of his monograph "Lingzhi from Mystery to Science" (4th Edition) to the entrepreneurs on site.
