Recently, the Enterprise Innovation Service Center of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) announced the list of the first batch of national park (enterprise) Spark Science & Technology Museum pilot units. Five units across Fujian Province were selected, including three in Fuzhou. Two of the selected units are located in the Fuzhou High-tech Zone, including GanoHerb.
This recognition marks another milestone for the GanoHerb Ganoderma Science Museum in science education, following its designation as the Ganoderma Science Branch of the Fujian Science and Technology Museum and the Ganoderma Knowledge Branch of the Fuzhou Science and Technology Museum.
The GanoHerb Ganoderma Science Museum officially opened in July this year. It is a thematic science education venue dedicated to presenting the history and scientific research of Ganoderma. Through multimedia interaction, immersive lighting and visual displays, and fungal strain specimens that visitors can observe up close, the museum introduces visitors to Ganoderma, from historical records of its use to contemporary scientific research. The venue integrates scientific displays, cultural education, and public science outreach.

Since its establishment in 1989, GanoHerb has led or participated in the development of 29 standards and maintained four organic certifications—China, the United States, Japan, and the European Union—for 21 consecutive years. The company also draws on four national-level scientific research and innovation platforms and two academician collaboration platforms. GanoHerb holds more than 40 authorized national invention patents. These research resources and scientific achievements provide a foundation for the museum’s science education initiatives.

The selection recognizes GanoHerb’s ongoing efforts in scientific research and science education and represents a further step in the development of its public science outreach activities.
Looking ahead, GanoHerb plans to continue using the museum as a platform for educational activities and public engagement. By making information about Ganoderma research more accessible to the public, the company aims to contribute to science education and support broader public science literacy initiatives in China.
