From traditional records dating back thousands of years to modern scientific exploration, Ganoderma has maintained an important place in the history of traditional Chinese medicine. Today, researchers continue to investigate Ganoderma through disciplines including biological research, food science, biotechnology, and product development, exploring its biological characteristics, chemical components, and potential applications.
On July 24, the opening ceremony of the GanoHerb Ganoderma Science Museum and the release of the fifth edition of Modern Research on Ganoderma provided the occasion for an academic symposium in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Centered on the theme of “inheritance, innovation, and development,” the event brought together experts, scholars, and industry representatives to exchange insights on advances in modern Ganoderma research and opportunities for responsible industry development.
The symposium was hosted by the Medicinal Fungi Professional Committee of the China Edible Fungi Association and organized by GanoHerb Group. Nearly one hundred experts and representatives from fields including traditional Chinese medicine, scientific research, medicinal and edible fungi, biotechnology, and the health industry participated in discussions focused on scientific research progress, technological innovation, and quality development.
At the opening ceremony, GanoHerb Group Chairman Li Ye, Lin Xueli, Member of the Party Leadership Group and First-Class Inspector of the Fujian Association for Science and Technology, and Gao Maolin, President of the China Edible Fungi Association, delivered remarks. Academician Wu Minghong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Fuzhou University, and Chairman of the Fuzhou Association of Science and Technology, delivered a video speech congratulating the successful organization of the event.
